Our 5-Year Origin Story

It took us five years to share these Golden Cloud Brand mushroom teas with you. I was striving for pre-launch perfection, reblending, growing new mushrooms, and experimenting with medicinal herbs at our farm. During that time, life happened. I fell in love with these teas and their functional attributes in my daily beautiful but chaotic life. Although the stressors of a job, raising kids, and running a small business ebbed and flowed, the teas were—and thankfully still are—a continuity that brings me joy, daily. Hot or iced, they punctuate my routines with rituals that support each phase of the day. 

Every morning, I welcome the new day with Mushroom Morning Chai, a spicy, caramelly blend that perks up my senses and gets my blood flowing. 

I have come to rely on my 2 p.m. cup of Brain Food Tea to get me through the afternoon instead of snagging a nap or slogging through a fuzzy-focused lull. Rather than grabbing a diet soda or candy bar to perk up, sipping Brain Food tea keeps me energetic and productive; not jumpy, bloated or scattered.

Finally, my 8 p.m. Relax tea is a delightful evening replacement for less beneficial beverages (goodbye, Chardonnay!) I enjoy the same calm with no sugar, alcohol or other potentially compromising ingredients… just mellow ease.

Sometimes, I simply feel dragged out; like I must be coming down with something I don’t want to keep. That’s when I pour myself a steamy mug of Be Well, Get Well immune-boosting tea. There’s nothing better to help my body help itself out of a slump.
