Meet Our Team

founder
Abbe Turner
"I am so lucky to be able to live my passion; to farm, to raise a family, to support female entrepreneurs."
Forest farmer and Golden Cloud Brand Founder Abbe Turner fell in love with the woods at a very young age, collecting plants and fossils, building forts, and racing toads. “The woods were my magic place, my kingdom, and a place of exploration and joy,” she recalls.
Abbe believes in the power of good, clean, local food and that all people should have access to it. She also believes in the forest fairies.

creative director
Lily Turner
Lily is a freelance fashion and costume designer, wardrobe stylist, and creative brand manager, currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work is influenced by her childhood. Connecting with the earth throughout childhood on a small family farm in Northeast Ohio shaped how she approaches creative direction and storytelling.
Beyond her focus in the fashion and entertainment industries, Lily is an avid cook who is happiest at a table of good food. She believes she was put on this earth to create spaces, garments, experiences, and meals that help people remember a world much bigger than themselves. For this reason, and to be working on a project with her mother, Lily is incredibly excited to be on the Golden Cloud Brand team.

operations
Jennifer Wolfe
Jennifer loves transforming chaos into order and helping others. Whether it is creating a beautiful project plan, or developing effective training, it’s all about simplifying and organizing.
While she grew up surrounded by farms in Northwest Ohio, after college she moved to the city, where she eventually stumbled into a career in instructional design. She now works as a learning & development consultant from her home in Carmel, Indiana.
In her free time, she buys art supplies and occasionally uses them to create art. Abbe and Jennifer have been BFFs for over 30 years.

master blender
Maureen Burns
"The health benefits of mushrooms are enormous and when combined with the restorative qualities of plants, healing qualities are expressed in a way that not only taste great but are good for you."
Known as a maverick, alchemist and healer, Maureen is a lifelong entrepreneur who has blazed her own successful trail her entire life. She has a specialized studies degree in Health and Healing from Ohio University and is a certified Health Education Specialist and a member of the Society of Public Health Educators (SoPHE). In 2025, she will celebrate 33 years as the Herbal Sage Tea Lady! She draws her inspiration from her 200 acre Herbal Sage Farm in southeast Ohio, and the Herbal Sage Tea Company in the Village of Pomeroy, Ohio. Creating blends for Golden Cloud Brand has been a joy. The true alchemy of creating magical, healthy recipes with mushrooms, spices, herbs, and tea has been a much-desired challenge.
We believe all mushrooms are magic.
Abbe’s journey from childhood magic through adulthood (with pivotal road markers at marriage, child-rearing, serial entrepreneurship, uncoupling, menopause, and relaunch) brought about a disorienting mix of hot flashes, brain fog, aches and exhaustion.
Nearly debilitated by the onslaught of unwelcome mind-body symptoms that overwhelmed her, Abbe returned to field and forest for answers… and a spark of hope that may also carry magic. Seeking mindfulness and clarity first, Abbe recognized that she always felt better after eating meals that included lion’s mane mushrooms. Lo and behold, her research showed that the compounds in this forest food are renowned for easing depression, anxiety, and brain fog for better mental function and clarity. These mushrooms may even help fight against cancer and dementia.
Over time, in her capacity as owner of Mushroom Harvest Provisions, Abbe broadened the scope of the business to add mushroom tea blends to the locally grown, sourced, and delivered mushroom varieties she provides as a forest farm food source.
Now we bring that magic to you in Golden Cloud Brand mushroom teas. We could all use some mushroom magic in our adult lives.
